James R. Paul Printer-Friendly

James Paul is an associate attorney on our Carruthers & Roth commercial real estate team. In that role, he supports clients who are buying, selling or developing property, negotiating leases, resolving title claims or navigating other real estate-related matters and disputes.

Prior to joining Carruthers & Roth, James worked with a Charlotte-based law firm on a wide variety of issues involving intellectual property, trademarks, copyright, contracts and business formation.   

As a student at the University of Notre Dame Law School, he gained experience through a variety of internships and externships. Those included representing indigent juvenile justice clients in St. Joseph County, IN, and working in the public defender’s office in Forsyth County, NC. He also received a faculty excellence award for his work involving end-of-care orders, advance directives, healthcare powers of attorney and their compliance with Catholic canon law.
