Chris Vaughn's practice focuses on commercial real estate including real estate development, finance, and title claims. He routinely represents regional developers who develop industrial facilities, apartment projects, shopping centers and convenience dining restaurants, as well as national title companies in the resolution of title claims.
Chris has been actively involved with the Real Property Section of the North Carolina Bar Association and has served as chair, vice chair, editor of Real Property (the newsletter of the Real Property Section of the North Carolina Bar Association), and the chair of the Legislative Committee. In addition, Chris was managing co-editor of the Real Estate Forms Manual, Second Edition 2003. In 2004, Chris was recognized for extraordinary services rendered by the Section.
In serving the Real Property Section, Chris participated in the drafting of a Subordination Statute, the Simultaneous Recording Act, and the Mortgage Satisfaction Act presenting portions of which to various committees at the General Assembly.
